Taking applications for house building, Restore is Accepting good used building materials and has a variety for sale at low prices.

The Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity ReStore, located at 315 S. Blackcat Road is open to public Tuesday through Saturday, 9 AM to 4 PM. The ReStore sells new and gently used construction items, appliances, and household furnishings at 50 to 70% discounts. Proceeds go towards the operation of the ReStore and the building of Habitat homes.

We are currently accepting donations and also are in need of volunteers to assist in pickups and to work in the ReStore, call 782-7467 or the office at 782-6533 for more information and how you can help. Thank you.

Accepting animals that need shelter because their owners have lost their homes

Accepting pets from survivors if the shelter they are at does not accept pets. There is no charge if it is not covered under insurance. They are open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 6 pm and Saturday 8 to noon. 

Note:

The ASPCA provided the Joplin Humane Society with a $100,000 grant to support disaster relief and recovery efforts, and has established a $500,000 grant fund for animal welfare groups affected by disasters across the country.
