Accepting animals that need shelter because their owners have lost their homes

Accepting pets from survivors if the shelter they are at does not accept pets. There is no charge if it is not covered under insurance. They are open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 6 pm and Saturday 8 to noon. 


The ASPCA provided the Joplin Humane Society with a $100,000 grant to support disaster relief and recovery efforts, and has established a $500,000 grant fund for animal welfare groups affected by disasters across the country.
