Gov. Jay Nixon’s Executive Order 11-11 provides relief to Joplin-area residents who lost their state identification or vehicle ownership documents. Under the order, the Missouri Department of Revenue will issue replacements for valid cards and documents, waiving all fees. Those

documents include: driver licenses; non-driver licenses; certificates of vehicle ownership;

Volunteers have evaluated structures for immediate dangers:
RED: Unsafe and an engineer needs to perform further in-depth evaluation.
YELLOW: Portions of the structure considered unsafe and should be evaluated by an engineer
GREEN: Not unsafe, but may need repairs and those repairs may require a permit.

Building home back on existing foundation: This is possible if a structural engineer has examined and issued a letter attesting to this. The permit application needs to include building plans. All new construction must meet City Building Codes.

Building home back on existing lot: Very likely this will be possible, unless lot is in a current floodplain designation or involved in future public infrastructure such as road widening. Need a building permit and follow all current setback requirements and building codes.
